NFL Football Suicide League: Our most popular game format!

An NFL survivor pool is a game in which you pick one NFL team each week to win their matchup and you can only pick that team once for the entire season. Also known as an NFL Suicide league, eliminator challenge, knock-out pools, or last man standing, these pools are based on one dead basic premise: Win and move on or lose and you're gone! ☠️ In simple terms, if the team the you picks wins, you “survive” in the pool and move on to the next week. If the team you pick loses, you are eliminated from the league. So Picks are made "straight up", without using a point spread system and the catch is that you can only pick an NFL team ONCE during the season. You can choose to set your survivor pool with elimination settings, mulligans, automatic pick assignment for missed picks, and more! The goal is to be the last member standing at the end of the season.

How does our survivor pool format work?

Here are the rules for our NFL Survivor pool (aka NFL Suicide League):

Each league member chooses one NFL team each week (and cannot use that same team for the remainder of the season).
Picks are made "straight up", not using a point spread system.
If their pick is correct, they survive until the next week.
An incorrect pick eliminates the player from the league for the remainder of the season. (unless there are mulligans or buy-backs!)
The goal is to be the the last member standing at the end of the season.

Allow multiple pick entries per member account or limit members to a single entry
Choose the week to start your pool
Automatic pick assignment (in case members forget to pick)
"Mulligan" options for automatic or manual revivals after incorrect picks
Include the regular season only or include the playoffs and Super Bowl
Allow members to pick an NFL team more than once

Viewing Picks & Standings 👀

League members are able to view all other league members picks ONLY after the weekly pick deadline has passed, i.e., the start of the first game each week. We want to be able to see who everyone picked when we watch the games, but we don't want members basing their picks on other members picks.

Mulligans & Buy Backs 🤦‍♂️

There is nothing more frustrating than being eliminated from a suicide league early on ... and it happens to the best of us. Therefore, suicideleague.com has implemented a "Mulligan" feature for our survivor pools. Using this feature, League Commissioners can revive members that have been eliminated from the league in the previous week. While our site allows this feature to be used at anytime during the season, we recommend restricting Mulligans to the first few weeks of the season.
